An Independent Living Centre can also be known as a
Disabled Living Centre.
They are places where people can see and try a wide range
of specialist equipment for independent living. They provide information and
advice and appointments can be made with Occupational Therapists who carry out
assessments and advise on finding the right equipment to meet the person's
needs.
